Here's where you can get the scoop on our little family.
The kids are now settled in Boston as of
February 20th. They will be there until July 13, 2012, while Daniel completes his schooling. Amy will then fly out with
Ella & Sophie so we can watch them for the few weeks it takes them to drive out here for their annual summer visit. We
are EXCITED!!Amy maintains a blog about their time in Boston. Go to http://www.eastcoaststint.blogspot.com/
She also sent photos of the kids' Christmas so check them out: "Jorgy Christmas 2011" We just hosted the Jorgensen family over the Thanksgiving holiday. They had a wedding to attend in Oakland
and decided, last minute, to fly out and stay here. Of course, we also got to celebrate Jarom's 7th birthday the day after,
on the 25th. He has a little friend he plays with during the summer; she lives around the corner and he invited her to his
Harry Potter birthday party. They stayed for 10 days and we had a such a fun time with the kids! I taught Ella
to sing "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" and, by the time she flew home, she knew the entire song! View Jarom's birthday
photos in "Jarom Turns 7" Also check out our Thanksgiving photos in "Thanksgiving Visit" Mike flew up to Washington on Halloween to help Amy take care of the kids while she had minor surgery. He was able to take
the kids Trick-or-Treating and got lots of pictures. Abby was a cool hippie chick, Jarom was Harry Potter, Ella was a
princess and Sophie was a witch. Check out the photos in "Halloween 2011" Amy was bed-ridden for about 2 days after her surgery, so Mike was doing a LOT. He was making breakfast and lunch every
day but did get out of making dinner, as there were church members who brought meals over every night.

the photos from Mike's stay at "Papa Goes To WA!" There are also a few funny photos in "Family Fun Fotos"
We're finally back to a quiet household after having the kids for 3 weeks. Abby and Jarom flew out by
themselves on July 12th for 10 days. We managed to take them to the Stanislaus County fair, the Great Valley Museum, and the
Oakdale Cheese Factory, our "must stop" every year. We also took care of ALL 4 for 5 days while mom and dad attended a
wedding in Malibu. THAT was an experience! However, we enjoyed each personality;
Abby: She's the boss and the neat-nik. That girl was
up every morning at 6:30, before anyone else, and straightened up the house. What a gem! She's still an accomplished artist!
Check out her 3 new drawings: "Abby's Artwork"
Jarom: He's the resident comedian. So funny without trying to be. However, ask him to do a chore
or pick up something and he does everything he can to avoid it. The kid does NOT like to work! But, he's a charmer.
Ella:
She can chat it up more than grandma! You should listen to her when she talks on her little phone! We have quite a video library
of her "talking" and acting so grown up. She was my buddy and we were always together. She turned 3 on Sept. 11th so be
sure and check out her birthday photos in the link below.
Sophie: At 13.5 mos, I don't even know yet if she's walking. Last I saw her on
Skype, she was bear-crawling. That's crawling on her hands and back feet. By now, she's probably walking. She is the
SWEETEST and most easy-going of them all. Always smiling and so good-natured. She's going to be another Jarom, we think. The
kids absolutely ADORE her and take every opportunity to entertain and hold her. She turns 1 on Sept. 17th. I expect
MORE photos!
Mike and I REALLY enjoyed having the kids this summer. They're getting older and are more entertaining. Although
it was chaos a lot of the time, we really miss having them around!
